Exhibition of Wildlife Photography at Bellapais Abbey on 19 November 2011
10am - 5pm on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November.
Kuşkor are pleased to announce their second photographic exhibition.
Following on from last autumn's successful exhibition we are pleased to have secured support from the Ministry of Tourism.
In addition to lots of new and fantastic photographs depicting Cyprus's diverse natural heritage we are running an art and photography competition in conjunction with TRNC schools. The idea is to encourage young inquisitive minds to look at the beauty around them and consider how best it can be protected
Why not come and see the winners....
On Sunday there will be a guided walk:
Starts from the exhibition hall at 3:30 Assemble near the entrance of the exhibition hall and we head down to the valley on foot. The walk will last about one hour. The distance is nearly 2 kms. It will be on the "Roman Road" which is partly paved, partly dirt road.
What we will see:
- The elements of a natural habitat which are important for birds
- Rare Aleppo Oaks, with opportunity to collect acorns (and a demonstration of the method for selecting the viable acorns)
- Regeneration of native vegetation after a fire
- Remains of the Roman Road
The walk is run by Agama Outdoor.
