| Hello, I hope someone can help. My husband & I have recently bought a hotel business in Kalkan, Turkey & would like to ship our household items. However, we seem to continually go round in circles with conflicting advice (even from the turkish embasy !!!) what we need to know is -: 1) Do we require a work permit in order to ship our goods ? 2) Do we require a bond/bank guarantee letter & if so what exactly does this translate to ? once we have the answers to these questions, we can then move on & decide on which shipping company to use. Many thanks in advance Imelda |

| We recently shipped our household goods from Alsancak to America and used a shipping company in Turkey to pack and ship our goods. The whole experience was a nightmare, but only because of the TRNC customs and government. Without the help of the shipping company I doubt we would have ever got our stuff off of the island. When our goods arrived in America not one item was broken or damaged, even the customs and agent this end were impressed with the way our goods had been packed. |
