I've got 2 new laptops on Vista Business Pro/Premium/Ultimate, or something,.. whatever! I can't stand the white/blue text on black background,.... or that irritating 'narrator' woman nagging me all the time! Grrrrrr,.... How do I get rid of them? I can't find display properties in Control Panel. Wish I'd stayed in the middle ages!! Blurred vision Rob

Install XP. Vista is so bad Microsoft are even getting rid of it.

Totally agree with Andy! It was a good idea, but just not done well. I find XP much more user friendly.

By the way.... Many older games for the PC won't run under Vista either. My favourite, Rise of Nations, and Train Simulator are now gathering dust in a draw as I can't get them to load. AND worst of all they were originally MICROSOFT games!!

You'll have to try it to see if it works. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't.

If you have Vista on your laptops you will have to uninstall (format) your hard drive and then install XP. Alternatively you could partition your hard drive (this means that you have in effect 2 hard drives) and have XP running on one of the partitions. Don't ask me how to to do this, I'm sure AndyP knows
