The Bayrams this year are 20th to 22nd September, and the 27th to 30th November. But of course the banks are already closed on the Saturday and Sunday. Are the banks closed on the following days? 9th March. Mavlid Al Nabi 1st August. Social resistance day 30th August. Victory Day 15th November. North Cyprus Republic day Ian

Sorry to be a pain, but can you double check. My bank say they are closed on those days (with a slight question mark on the 9th March). I find it hard to believe that, for example, the banks close on Turkey's republic day (29th October), but not North Cyprus republic day (15th November) Ian

Many thanks, Linda. I didn't think to look at the days of the week. Looks like you bank employees are getting the short straw this year with 7 public holidays falling at the weekends. Ian
