Umm, well, I'd just walk to the nearest house/shop/garage etc... Especially here as it's alot safer than the UK. As it is I hardly use my mobile here, only to txt friends to arrange meeting up...which I could do with my pc, or just drop in unannounced ;-)

My Orbit 2 phone with WiFi allows me to do everything (and more) that I use my computer for, so no need to choose.

Good point Greenman. My dad was over at Christmas and had a Blackberry so if I had one of those I guess I could do away with the pc then.

I take your point as far as living in the trnc. However in the UK I think more people would rather have a Mobile than a PC. Not only for the safety issue but for cantactability (is that a word?).

If I was in the Uk then yes it would be the pc that got the boot (boot...geddit? groan!) Definitely essential for a safety point of view. When I was back there I could use the antiquated WAP on my phone so I too had (sort of) the best of both words.
