rubbish collections in alsancak

is anyone having problems getting their refuse collected.

we live in alsancak and the bin men havent been for 2 weeks.

it a hell of a mess out there,weve been to beleyedesi about it ,and have had promises to clear ,but theyve done nothing!!

Last week they came on Tuesday night instead of Wed night in Malatya and most people hadn't put their bins out. My wife went into the Belediye on Wed to ask why and so they came again on Thurs night. This week we haven't seen them yet, so maybe they're back to Wed night???

Yes, we have had no collection for two weeks - had to go and complain to the Beleydesi - who said that one of their vehicles had broken down (the one which was on our route).



We have now had a collection last night, but we don't know when the next one will be. Suggest you go back and complain (try and see the mayor) the more people who show their displeasure - the better

Where I am in Lapta, we used to get rubbish collected twice a week, but it has now become just once a week.

We have the same problem in Lapta. No collections for over 2 weeks, but it was finally collected last Tues. No idea when they will collect next though!

Up in Baspinar they collect twice a week Wed & Sun - only ever missed us once when it was December Bayram - such a contrast to the crap fortnightly collections in UK!

At least in NC we dont run the risk of big fines for putting our bins out on the wrong day, or having Council snoopers sifting for 'innapropriate' refuse and refusing to collect!

p.s. I have seen a 'Greenwich Council' wheelie bin in Alagadi!! Greenwich Council haven't emptied that for over a year!
