We did ours through Ergunes driving school by the main Girne Police Station. The young girls there speak English and we paid, I think, 50TL for 3 of us. They tried to ask for 50 each but we said no, so bargain if you do use them.

Very simple - go to the tax office in Girne. You will need your existing licence, your UK licence, passport and a form which they have and will help you complete. Take photocopies of the various documents with you.

Done mine last week. Took old licence, copy of passport inside back & front & residency stamp, 2 passport size pictures, filled in the yellow form (which are in tax office opposite the old tax office in Girne) and paid 150tl for two years. Picking up licence next week although they tell you a date. Dont think I needed all that paperwork but been down this route so many times so was prepared with everything. They took the lot so must be right. Steve
