It's true the Germans are coming. Pegasus are flying into a number of german airports via istanbul or antalya to ercan, These flights will start from Feb 10th once the protacol is signed. Better set my alarm clock.

(...) The ministry said in a statement yesterday that scheduled Pegasus flights would be conducted from Germany to northern Cyprus starting from April 1. Scheduled flights will be conducted between Nicosia and the German cities of Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Hannover via the Turkish cities of Istanbul and Antalya. (...) ===> On first sight: interesting news. But I'm afraid that it will be very hard to book a seat (from Holland, Denmark etc), because the German cities mentioned above all have (big) Turkish communities - who will love to fly to Istanbul cheap...

Oh I see, so its just another airline as we flew Turkish airlines. For a moment I thought it was meant to be a "new" thing. Sorry for being such a biff.

Sun Express ,Turkish and Pegasus have been flying Turkey / Germany to one extent or another for many many years as the Turkish "guest workers" needed them. The only changes of any note are that some flights are getting better interchanges to Ercan.

RE msg 12, Checkmate : (...) Can anyone tell me the best/cheapest way to get from Amsterdam - Ercan? (...) ===> Best (and fastest, not the cheapest) way: Amsterdam-Schiphol -> Istanbul Atatürk Airport -> Ercan International Airport. ===> Cheapest way: Corendon Airways (Eindhoven Airport or Amsterdam-Schiphol - Check please!) -> Istanbul (probably Gökcen on the Asian side) -> Pegasus or another pricefighter to Ercan International Airport.
