| There are a number of postings about where to buy/sell secondhand goods. On the Isle of Wight we have a very successful free website for the purpose called WightBay http://www.wightbay.com/XCClassifieds/CPSearch.asp?CMD=NEW
If it hasn't been tried already, are there any techies out there who could create something similar for North Cyprus. It works very well in a relatively small geographically defined area like an Island. |

| Caulkhead, good question. I was only thinking about this last night - a kind of North Cyprus E-bay. Would be great fun. Unfortunately I don't think my technical skills will stretch that far but there must be someone.
Since we're such a small island, cash on delivery might be sufficient here(?), so the only major need would be for people to assign themselves nicknames as we do on this forum, to allow people to bid against each other anonymously, and whereby the identity/address/contact details would only be revealed to the winning bidder and the seller at the end of the auction. Simple!! for someone who knows how to do it. |

It seems as though its for the South though. I can't see any reference to the North and the prices are Euros.
Actually setting one up isn't that difficult. I believe it could be .tr registered but the cost of a dedicated server would be prohibitive. Similar to the costs for this site?
