Forgive me if this is an ignorant question. Do you need permission to buy if the property title is British?

Macha...msg2...it may be legal and above board(I hope you are right) but don't you still need permission to purchase from the TRNC government?

yes i think you will still need to apply for your ptp, what ever the title deed. our kochan is pre 74 turkish and was owned by a brit before us, the point being they must be less likely to be able to refuse you ptp, as it has been granted to the previous owner on that house/land.

Macha doesn't recognise TRNC or it's Government! - It's pointless asking him a question like that, he'll just go off on one...

dee, People who get banned for beıng ıdıots have less credıbılıty than those censored for having ınternatıonalıst vıews deemed ''ınconvenıent' to the noses ın the trough mob. More of a badge of honour to them.

Macha....I agree entirely. However...just because you don't recognise the legitimacy of the TRNC unfortunately does not mean that you can opt out of its laws and conventions. I wasn't trying to goad you at all with my original reply...I was just curious to know whether British Title deeds also needed PTP as do my Pre-74 Turkish Title Deeds. Please don't see enemies on here where there are none !

cronos, I know what you're sayıng, have no fear. In all serıousness, as fıre starter says Brıt pre-74 deeds are ıf anythıng better for PTP purposes, but all pre-74 has the same legal status.
