| depending on the price of your house but your builder pays the same as you or should also 75% off at the moment dose sound a lot your house must have been valued about £300,000 |

| ask your builder for a break down and why it is so much or is it solicitors some of them are worst than the builders |

| Thanks for the info, the problem is I`m in uk, lawyer wont reply to e mails builder even worse, coming out in May just trying to find out as much info as possible so I can head them of at the pass. stevie-d |

| try and sort out before april as 75% stops then you be better to take an early holliday i am at the moment questioning weather if you can do this in the time limit as the builder had his paymant on his purchase price should you me or any of us have to pay anymore as 75% of is more than his half if you get my meaning going to check it out let you know kirk |

| steve, i'm sure you can check with the property tax office to see what is payable. they work it out! sounds far to much to me. |

| Builder pays 6.25% taxes & you pay 5% + 3%, the 75% discount is only on the 3%. When we bought our house, the kojan taxes were on the price it cost to build, then they changed it to what you paid for the house. They have now changed it AGAIN to what the house is valued at. Hope this helps. |

| i thought it was on the contract price. after all the way the market is, if you purchased at say 100k two years ago. the property may only be worth 80k now. why would they change it, so that they would recive less not more? |
