We are coming over 20 Jan to have a look at schools and get to know the island better.

Does anyone have a central apart (pref with heating and TV) or hotel available that we could rent/book a room.

thanks

Helen

How long will you be staying?

What is your budget?

You can always check out the hotel we sell through Cyprus44.

Bookings are handled by goNorthCyprus.com Travel Ltd.

The prices are very competitive.

Hi Izzet

We will stay for 8 nights. I will have a look at the hotels on the site.

Our preference though would be for an apartment if possible.

thanks

May I suggest the Pia Bella....Decent rooms, good rates and excellent service.

This really depends on which side of the Island you are planning to visit. There are many aparthotels in Girne(Kyrenia)area and a few in Famagusta.

As mentioned by Tim the Pia Bella is very popular but I think this is mainly hotel rooms and not apartment type with self catering facilities, but I could be wrong.

Another option would be The Ship just outside of Girne.

The Mountain View is open all year around and has hotel and apartments available.

I only know of a couple in the Famagusta area which are the Palm Beach, Bogaz Hotel and Salamis Bay Complex.

Regards

One of the popular holiday villages to the west of Girne is the Riverside which is advertised on this forum, just klick on the flights & hotel button at the top.

I have never stayed there so can't comment from a personel view but many friends have and say it is ok.

I would have recommended the Ship, but I know that they are closing for refurbishment from tomorrow for about 5 weeks.

Me again...I also know that Lynx Property Management has a very large portfolio of holiday lets. I am aware they have a good reputation, and in fact close freinds of mine are letting a clutch of villas from there for their wedding guests in June - knowing my mates they woudn't use them if they were in any doubt over reliability or reputation.

Don't forget about the "grande dame" of Kyrenia hotels, the Dome! Old world style and service, new world comforts thanks to recent renovations, five minutes walk from the harbour restaurants, and right on the coast. They've got a fitness centre too, if walking round schools isn't exercise enough!

You can book via this site http://www.dome-cyprus.com for as many nights as you like, without being tied into a whole week's stay.

Hi Uppy247

I stayed in Kyrenia last april whilst on a shopping trip.

I rented an apartment in an old Carob warehouse overlooking the harbour and castle in Kyrenia.

It was wonderful....www.ownersdirect.co.uk/cyprus

There are 2 apartments on this site a 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom. We stayed in 3 bedroom and would not hesitate staying there again. They also arranged transfers and car hire for us.

Good luck
