For all those who collect there mail from the village Coop, no need to bother anymore.



We have just been for ours and the post is no longer left there. The pigeon holes and shelving have now all been filled with electrical items.



The explanation, from Monday 23 February the mail will be delivered house to house by a person on a motor bike.



Should prove interesting!!!

I went into the main post office in Girnie on Fri and asked about a PO Box in Karsiyaka and was informed there would be new boxes during the week commencing 23 Feb 09 and we could go back and collect a key during that week. Are we being led up the garden path or is this another false lead?

Have always used our postal address.



Only problem we were told what it was so informed everyone then they decided it was wrong. Still cannot remember if all banks etc got it put right when I posted the new details.



Nice source of free income a PO Box would mean no need for postie to find your house. Perhaps wait a couple of weeks and see what happens rather than rent a box. Although then it will be too late cos those that do not read the forum will not know!!!!!

I would think that the boxes being ref to are the ones on the wall in Karsiyaka "square" near the Butchers shop.
