thats what we thought but when the solicitor tells you theres no need you sort of have to trust them.because we bought so long ago to have to do this will slow the whole process down even further. Its annoying because this could have been completed along time ago

We had to fill some out - printed them off from their website in the UK and sent them to London - once we got them back we then sent them on to our lawyer in TRNC.

troy lake did everything for us , all we had to do is fill in the forms they provided for us , and they did the rest , but i do remember them saying to us that everyone buying in trnc had to provide one in order to buy there . perhaps things have changed this was 6yrs ago

regards simbas

The law changed in 2005, I think around Aug/Sept, anyone buying after have to do a criminal records search their selves, before this Trnc did it.

thats good news for us as we bought a few months before that.the only thing that worries me is that i know people that bought i n 2007 and they have had theres back so it doesnt go on the dates when you made your application

Ian we bought in June 2005 and recieved permission in Dec 2007, no thanks to lawyer, I kept sending emails to the complains office asking when I would receive it and they telephoned me and said they would put it before the committee at there next meeting.

Is there somewhere/someone that you can email to find your PTB status? Other than your solicitor of course?

Bradus

Ask your solicitor for the reference number which they would have been given by the Land Registry when the application was submitted. You can then find the status out direct from them. I think the reference number is something like [year of application]/[number issued by LR].

Just email complaints office with you name and cypriat address asking where you are with regards to purchase.
