Hi all,



Has anyone received there deeds lately been waiting since 2006 still no news I was told a year ago it would be decided in a year?

Still waiting for our's, since Feb 2007. The Solicitor says no worries, they are all taking this long these days, in spite of public assurances over a year ago that they would be speeding things up generally. It is their loss financially of course, must be millions of YTL they could get into the TRNC coffers if they speeded things up. On the GC side just the same, we have been waiting there since Feb 2003! In both cases the properties are registered in our name etc.

We received ours at the end of October 2008 and we had waited 2.1/2 years.



You must telephone them at least every two weeks and email them every week. Make yourself a nuiscance, so they get to know you. Never lose your temper but when they say it is still with the military, make a joke of it.



Don't rely on your lawyer to tell you they are through, they have to much to do but find out yourself. Good luck.

Ive, Geoff, Butler - can I clarify please...are you saying that you've been waiting for your title deeds that long after you got your PTP? Or are you talking about the long wait to get your permission to purchase?

I must apologise, it was me having a senior moment. I misread it to mean PTP



Having said that, most of the owners on our complex have their ptp and we have been told not to expect out title deeds soon. I think this is because none of the developers are selling anything and because of the taxes involved, they cannot afford to transfer. We paid our kdv at time of purchase, so developer has been sitting on this for 3 years. Until the law changes which enforces developers and builders to transfer title deeds, we may be waiting forever.
