Anyone else having trouble accessing their hotmail? Although the rest of the internet is working (intermittently of course as I am with Extend) hotmail keeps refusing to open - is it a speed issue?

Strange you should say that, a friend of mine who is with extend is experiencing exactly the same problem.

Using 3g he has no problem.

There is a long string of complaints on the MSN Live Community site, Hotmail no longer have their own help line.

There is a major problem but MSN did not seem to want to take responsibility, time after time their feedback to the forum is a list of things to do on your computer. Now people are returning with a regular theme, there is nothing wrong with computers.

Yesterday, finally there was an acceptance that there is a problem with Hotmail. Crazy, I can log on but other half cannot on same PC!!!!!

As for extend, they did send a mail shot last week to say it was not them and directed people to the MSN Live forum.

So the answer to your question is YES, there is a problem with Hotmail.

Message 4, cyprusishome.

My wife and I are having exactly the same problem. We're both "....@hotmail.com". I can get in, but she can't.

Got email from eXtend.

Tried to discover whats going on at Windows Live, etc. Gave up. We'll try another laptop tomorrow.

Bloody annoying though.

Tomorrow has arrived... (possibly a new title for a 007 film).

Anyway, different laptop lets my wife log in to Hotmail.

So, we are getting closer to discovering what the problem is.

They want to sell more PC's!

(I don't think I got me full 8 hours). Another film title I believe.

I was having loads of problems with MSN, so I downloaded Google Chrome and I go through this to access my emails, I have had no problems since.

Hotmail also appear to 'losing' emails. I have tried sending from my Sky email account to my Hotmail account (as have others I know who have Sky accounts) and found they never arrive. Sending from my Googlemail account to Hotmail is fine. There is no problem sending to a Sky email account.

Anyone know of any other companies who send emails to Hotmail accounts that emails never arrive?

I have been using Google Chrome since it's inception and I would not use anything else now.

TimothyCadman,

I hope that you don't think that I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs, but have you checked your 'spam' or 'bulk mail' box?

Hotmail sometimes put a blanket 'ban' on some ranges of ip addresses / mail providers.

Has caused me no end of grief sending newsletters to multiple recipients...

Keith.

Keith,

No problem. I should have made it clear that the messages weren't going to my Junk/Spam box.

Do have the feeling that your second point of mail providers may carry some weight. Hotmail have been/are known to blanket ban some mail providers. This I've discovered on other message areas.
