If you can ship it out (which for a plasma means it must be shipped upright) then do that. Otherwise, flatscreens are about 30-40% more expensive than equivalent models in the UK though I'm told they may now drop in price a little. There is an importer here who sells through various outlets and individuals.

surely adding the cost of the tv plus shipping costs , that would calculate to the same as buying in nc , plus by buying locally you are supporting your adopted country 's economy regards simbas

hi there i would personally not bother with bringing a tv from the u.k for a few reasons, firstly t.v's especially name brands are getting cheaper in north cyprus, secondly you can buy of internet sites from turkey that deliver to north cyprus like hepsiburada which are reasonably priced http://www.hepsiburada.com/Department.aspx?CategoryID=155051 plazma http://www.hepsiburada.com/Department.aspx?CategoryID=153529 lcd and like what simba said by the time you have paid cargo fees, custom taxes it wont be that cheaper than cyprus and the most important factor is if you do bring a t.v from the u.k your guarntee is not valid so if it breaks down or you get a electric surge and it blows your tv you wont be covered where if you buy from turkey or cyprus you are covered for upto 5 years which is a important factor hope this helps regards ukturk

I got a lovely flat screen TV from the Beko shop in Kyrenia (on the main road, on the left just after the fountain roundabout). It's a 37 inch screen, looks really smart, picture is great and it has loads on inputs for your digibox/dvd/nintendo wii/laptop etc. It was 600 pounds (ish) and I love it.
