We haven't but our neighbours have a huge half empty pool that hasn't had proper attention for about 8 months so it will be interesting to see what they will do.

They had large tubs of chemicals and spraying equipment with them,

They looked into the pool floor and walls but ours is cleaned regularly ,but I know of absent owners who let their pools go green during the winter and I think this is what they are looking for, can,t really guess what they will do when they come across these

I can't see that the pest control people can do anything about it. It's on your land.

I think you will find that stagnant pools are the breeding grounds for mozzies and I do not know how long you are or have lived here but they take seriously the spraying in the summer months and I can assure you it does not mean one iota to them that you may have a green pool, they will deal with it or make you deal with it. It may be your castle but you are not in the UK.

yeah i know where there is a pool full of builders rubbish , and as you say a breeding ground for mossies , this is good news that the council frowns upon this sort of mismanagement of pools .

I believe that Lapta council are using FROG pest control as that is on the side of their pick-up vans although they wear lapta council surcoats as to frogs I was always told that they actually control mossies, but are very noisy at night

I think it's great news - a house near us is unsold but has been let intermittently. Unfortunately, it's been empty all winter and is full of stagnant water and mossie larvae. I wish the Esentepe belediye would come down and sort it out - we have asked them but no joy.

They will empty the pool or shock it with chemicals, then bill you for the work... i know they have just done the house up the road after complaints about mozzies in December.

And quite right as well!!

Why should i have to suffer mozzies because of the selfeshness of neigbours who do not look after thier property.

When we are away we arange for the pool company to clean and service ours.

Stagnant pools (of water) used to be "treated" by pouring a pint or two of paraffin (low volatility) onto the water. This forms a floating "skin" which stops air reaching mozzie larvae and they suffocate. Sounds a bit drastic but if the pool has been abandoned, who's going to complain?
