Dear All,

Yemeksepeti ("food basket" in Turkish) is Turkey's largest food ordering website and is now available in N.Cyprus too!

http://www.yemeksepeti.com/index.asp?city=246

The fully bilingual site offers you up to date menus for 35+ restaurants throughout N.Cyprus (14 in Kyrenia).

The main advantage for foreigners is that you don't need to talk over the phone with anyone to order food. In addition you won't waste precious mobile phone minutes.

You order online, Yemeksepeti transfers your order to the restaurant, the restaurant delivers you the food and you pay at the door. No need for credit cards.

Only drawback is that most restaurants do not deliver to areas like Lapta. But if you live in closer areas (even Alsancak!) give it a try.

Please give us feedback about the service and about the restaurants you'd like to see in Yemeksepeti.

Best Regards,

Tunc Yalgin, Yemeksepeti.com

if it's anything like the construction industry, you'll order and the food will turn up years later and will be nothing like what you asked for !

Just imagine, you've invited several friends round, ordered a takeaway and...........

Dear Nick,

Don't worry, we are not a North Cypriot company! Yemeksepeti.com was created in 2001 in Turkey and has over half a million registered users, which makes it one of the largest and oldest online food delivery services in Europe!

In addition our call center is located in Istanbul. They make sure the restaurants receive and send your order. They also provide assistance to customers via live chat.

Still, as said before, we do not deliver ourselves. We just pass your order on to the restaurants. As a result, the quality and timeliness of your order depends very much on the restaurant. Nevertheless, we have user ratings to help you sort out the good from the bad.

As I said before, just give it a try!

Best Regards,

Tunc Yalgin

My friend set up a franchise of "Room Service" in London.

They charge the customers the same as the restaurant for sit-down, plus £5.00 delivery.

They only pay the restaurants 60% of the restaurant price.

Great deal for both sides.

Yeah, other sites in other countries charge both the restaurants and the customers. For yemeksepeti.com, customers don't pay extra for delivery. Besides, you just type your adress and directions for once. Much better than talking on the phone to some guy who knows a little or no english, everytime you want to order.
