The TRNC's national airline is extending it's services this year. Its flying to Iran's capital, Tehran, as well as 2 more destinations in Turkey.... Any thoughts on the new Iran flights? It's effectiveness on our tourism?

The flights will certainly boost tourism if they come back in one piece! Sir Roger Skogs did a few crusades out there some years back and ol' Chegwin didn’t half get shrapnel rash! Good luck to them for having a go. The Island could really do with another carrier bringing folk in. Sir Skogs

Pegasus have been flying from Istanbul to Tehran for a couple of years now,so access to tourism in TRNC has been there. Interesting place Tehran, was there back in 1976 when the Shah was "running" the show. Would like to go back some time.

tin my opinion, this will lead to many new things..........First it was flights to Germany, now Tehran. Maybe the UAE is next. These new flights may even help boost the much needed investments in the TRNC....any ideas on this? or disagreements?

Maybe the Iranians can give the TRNC some petro $ and the TRNC could let them site part of their missile defences here. After all it is only what the Americans are doing in eastern europe.

karakum 5c when macha says a great move he means it's not a great move during the iran-iraq war in the 1980's israel provided iran with spares and technical support for its f4 fighters at the time israel warned its principal backer the usa that sadaam hussein was a danger to the west: the americans thought this quite amusing, apparently, concluding that israel was speaking from clumsy self-interest later two israeli citizens with cameras and radios were arrested near an air-defence radar in south cyprus: the basic conceit of plucky little cyprus plucky little israel appeared less relevant than israel's day-to-day strategic alliance with the turkish military... turkey just bought test specimens of the deadly s300 anti-aircraft sytem from ukraine and belarus, planning to develop electronic countermeasures, greece already operates these missiles turkey, founder-member of nato with an army of 700,000: what can nicos samson have been thinking of?
