We are moving out to N.C. in September. We have a 19 year old daughter who has Grade A Spanish A Level, Grade B English and Grade C French. She can Type, etc; has even done a bit of waitressing and reception already as a summer job Anybody know of any positions available anywhere from September on? Thanks for your help

Daffodils I would recommend you do a search on this site with jobs as the subject and you will get the latest info. Not good news I'm afraid and it is especially difficult for young people to find work here because they are in competition with the university educated locals who always get priority. Her best bet may be to consider working in the South where her language skills may be a bonus.

hi daffodils, we're running an education center and we may consider offering spanish courses. If we can find a spanish teacher, maybe your daughter can come and have speaking sessions... just an idea... check back on sept. you can visit http://www.lifelonglearningcyprus.com... it's mostly in turkish, but an english version coming soon...

daffodils, She would probably be better living in the north but working and earning in the south. That part of Cyprus is in the EU and she will have access to proper legal rights, health and safety, better pay etc. If she has language skills she should be able to get to grips with Greek by September. That is one thing she will most likely need to really get on.
