| Tragic news about a 2yr old toddler in Edinburgh who was crushed to death when the families flat screen TV toppled over on top of her. Anyone who has a large screen TV will know how heavy they are and they normally have a fairly small base. Most of them come with a security strap which you are supposed to fit between the back and either the stand/furniture, or the wall. Even wall mounting isn't always safe, especially if fixed to a plasterboard/drylined wall. I've realised I never bothered fitting the strap! Have you? Rob |
