I have heard that the cost of having your water meter fitted is £800 and electric is £1,500. Can anyone verify this please? Also could it be put into your contract of purchase so that the developer pays?

cheers

Hi Shona

We live on Ozankoy and the local Muhtar has just got our water meter put in and wants £100 for it but our builder is looking into it they want £150 from us for new water pipes when they tarmac the road!!! The electric was up to our builder he had to pay approx £7k to Kibtec for the meters etc don't know whether this is the norm, but water should be the same as us same district.

Hi Dylansgranny,

Couldn't help but notice that you have purchased in Ozankoy. We have too. How do you find Ozankoy? Is it lively and are there any good restaurants that you would recommend? Looked lovely when we were over there in November but wondered if its busy during summer. Any information about the place would be gratefully received.

Hi,

My property search went well. I spent a very hectic 3 days looking at over 25 properties, then they showed my a 2 bed semi detatched villa which was well over my budget and of course I fell in love with it. After a bit of discussion I managed to get £10k knocked off the price so am in the process of buying it. Its in Ozankoy on a small development of just 8 houses all with private gardens which is ideal for my dogs. At the end of the garden is the pool which is fantastic. I am hoping to move in around May time but of course this depends on many factors including the water and electricity being connected!!

Hi

We have bought an apartment at Turtle Bay Village and our connection to the deslination plant will be approximately £900? (I think or was it £800?). Anyway around that mark anyway. Havent been told of electricity connection so guess it will be nothing???? (it wasnt in our contract but the water connection was)
