Paul, Welcome to the forum. I'm sure that if you want to wear a bikini, I'm sure you will get a tan, but watch the strap marks, people might start to talk. Weather in mid April should be good, although you might need something a little warmer in the evenings. Steve

We were over there last Easter and the weather was brilliant. Swimming in sea and hotel pool. Yes we left with a tan. However temp did drop slightly at night.

I love April time. The weather is starting to get warm before it gets too hot and the flowers are in bloom (and the snakes are starting to wake up - not so good . Still a bit too cold to sit outside in the evenings without a jacket/jumper. Karen

Hi Pat Me too, absolutely terrified of them in fact. The black ones are ok(but hey, its still a snake!). Beware of the vipers though as if you get bitten by one of those you only have 20 minutes to get an antidote. As we are over 20 minutes from Girne hospital there's not much hope for us. During the early spring time of year we keep our wellies on when outside or if you wear shoes make sure they're sturdy, wear socks and if you attempt to go near long grass tuck your trousers into your shoes/wellies. Not too elegant but who cares. Snakes don't normally go for you unless they feel threatened. I personally wouldn't like to hang around to see if I've upset one.

Hi Pat Yes especially if you have a compost bin or wood pile. Some people have found them in their pump rooms but mainly the black ones. Best thing to do is stamp on the ground as much as possible when you walk. They will soon move away. Karen
