looking for 3 bed apartment

hi all, am coming over on may 9th-23rd to look for a 3 bed top floor appartment. will be doing the usual agents tours and makeing my own enquiries. looking for holiday home, must have good facilities for 4 kids,

any help/advice would be wellcomed. thanks in advance.

Hi,

Hundreds of properties to choose from. Best to find an area you like first and then look for property otherwise you spend time looking at areas out in the sticks and sometimes a bit isolated. Be sure to read up on the different title deeds and ask questions about maintenance fees. We bought a 3 bed apartment in Ozankoy because we love Girne and didn't want to be on a Butlins type development (son at university so didn't have to consider needs of child) Home Buyers Pressure Group Forum well worth visiting for advice. Hope you find what you are looking for. Will you consider off plan?

Why do you want an apartment with children or is price a concern sorry don't mean to be nosey but a house with a garden in this country with children is ideal unless you find one in a village like Ozankoy. In Kyrenia most flats seem to be all together? On the Island the buses (converted transit vans) run very very regularly and are very cheap so transport is not a problem if the children make friends in other areas. It is a beautiful Island very different from UK and everyone is so friendly - good luck.

Dylansgranny raises a good point you can actually get villas for really reasonable prices. Some of the houses we saw were just as much as the apartments. However you do have to consider maintenance costs it might work out more for a villa with pool than paying shared fees in an apartment. Also take care to make sure that whatever you purchase it is not near military bases. There seems to be rather alot of case studies inferring that people did not get permission to purchase because of this. As permission to purchase takes several months you have in most cases paid and bought the property before you find you couln't own it and get the title deeds. Good luck do lots of research and only use solicitors and estate agents recomended by people who

have purchased and been through the process. Do not use solicitors recommended by your builder or estate agent. Don't want to put you off but you do hear some horror stories.

hi all, thanks for your replys...the reason for wanting an appartment over a house is so the kids [and myself] can make friends with other people around the pool,.. bar. etc.. with a house i think that might be not the case. to an extent the price is not the main factor but i like the idea of knowing that the place ..ie pool and other areas will be well kept so that when i go back, there is nothing to do . will look at houses when i get there in may..would like something to renovate in the future. many thanks.

Hi we are awaiting completion of our apartment in Turtle Bay Village. We can't wait - looks like a great site - especially for kids - we have two young boys and wanted to do exactly the same as you Eager - great for kids to make friends when they are a bit older.



Richard - how cheap are you selling apartments for??? We just received a special offer for remainder of the apartments for sale - well more of a better payment plan anyway.
