Our developer has disappeared after building just 2 houses of a scheduled 23. We have a contractual claim for failure to supply permanent electrics running at £500 per month. Our question is, how much could we expect to have to pay Kibtec for an electricity supply for one house up a mountain (eg the infrastructure for the house), not transformers etc for the whole site? Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

owners, Sorry to hear of your situation. I think I would be considering wind generation, given your location! wyn

v expensive i'd guess - i'd ask Kibtec to come and give you a quote. You've more chance of getting the £500 p/m penalty than Garry Monger's missus serving up a decent meal.... The very best of luck, but i think you are in for a lot of stress and problems. Nick

There is a house up the mountain with pylons/transformers etc in place so it would be the cost of running pylons down from there

it depends on the distance. The right quote KbTek in kyrenia will give you. According to this you might consider a solar / wind / hybrid system (as you can deduct the pole prices and the permanent electricity costs from your investion). For electric connections above 7000 - 8000 stg it would make sense to go to solar/wind. more info on alternate power: http://www.cyprussunenergy.com good luck and let us know what they demand

You will need to have a new electricity plan drawn up by an electrical engineer before Kibtek will consider a supply for you. Presumably the original plan (if there was one) was for all the proposed houses on your site.

agree, ave a new electric plan done by an architect - then go to kibtec to get the final approuvment, an apointment will be given and someon will come to see if everything is ok - then they will quote - i am afraid it is going to take time !
