Well we have just returned from having sunday dinner at The Hillside. The food and service was really good, so we have booked again for next week, all 7 of us. It will also be non smoking, which is Brucie bonus ! Can highly recommend it, just make sure you have a big gap between breakfast and lunch, the portions are very generous.

Always keen to try a new Sunday lunch venue - can you advise location/directions/price and an idea of the menu ?

We were there today too ......

it's 22tl for a three coarse meal, and the wine of the week is Angora at 19tl per bottle.

All fresh and home cooked.

Well done everyone,

x

Hi Nick

The Hillside can be found just before The Lapta strip on the left hand side, big green sign in the carpark, it was busy so you may have to book. 0533 8346257

We also went to the Hillside for sunday lunch. Compliments all round. Freshly cooked and delicious. another nice touch was the proprietor gave a lovely little pack of 3 Ferrero Rochet to Mothers. Much appreciated. Nice smiley service and nothing too much trouble. Will defo go again.

Hi We have been on a normal day & we found it a bit daunting as there were a group of people at the bar chatting away, we seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience for them. Turns out it was the people who are running the bar for engin. I think it is like a social club and you either belong or you dont. We clearly didn't. Also..... when we got our food the sauce was hot but the chicken wasnt (bit worrying!) We did tell the young man who served us, but he didnt seem too bothered.

May give it another go though

Dee,

It is a shame that you feel you did not have a good experience when you went to Hillside. Perhaps you could speak to the Management should you decide to give it another go. Oh but on another post you did say it was your first and last time there!!

I can only speak from experience and can say that the food I have had both during the week and Sundays has been lovely and the staff are great.
