| The greek prime minister has been on a historic visit to Turkey and yesterday paid tribute to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk by laying a wreath at Ataturk's tomb. Very strange. |

| hulk even thou people have totally gone of the subject with talk of petrol, i found this very strange too, this is the greek pm visting turkey going to ataturk tomb and laying a reath and also saying he admired and respected what he done for his country, does this man not know that he single handedly with a limited number of troops kicked and drove the greek army out of izmir and turkey along with the brits, italians, ozzies in the early 1920's and he also said in his press conference he fully supports turkey's entry into the e.u i must say this has tottaly confused me because if he supports turkeys assertion into e.u and turkey has stated they are not bowing down concerning the cyprus situation does this mean greece agree with turkey's policy on north cyprus????? concerning the petrol situation you want to come over to turkey and pay 2.96ytl a litre and then complain on peterol increases this is another thing that confuses me turkey has all kinds of pipelines between russia, iran, iraq we practically make the stuff but still we pay more than any other european country and the u.k and all the petrol stations in cyprus like k-pet are subsidarys of turkish companies like o-pet in my view its all about taxes!!!! extra revenue but still you can buy a packet of fags in turkey for around 2-3 ytl so they would rather kill you off than drive a car!!!! regards ukturk |

| The simple answer to high petrol prices is for Turkey and NC to start bus services on their main routes - I don't know about Turkey but I wuld certainly catch the bus if there's one going from Tatlisu to Girne. The Cyprus issue is only one point of dispute between Turkey and Greece. There are lots of disputes between Turkey and Greece regarding the sovereignty of islands in the eastern aegean and also about international sea and air boundaries - LET THE EU EAT CAKE ALONG WITH THE GREEK CYPRUITS!!!!!
