| I don't have a DVD player I want to sell but I may be able to save you time and money. Almost every DVD player is secretly 'multi-region' because the manufacturers only produce version one of each model for the whole world. But to keep the film companies happy, they put a fairly simple 'regonalisation' into the circuitry. Try Googling the model name of a player you're interested in, along with 'region' and 'change' and the chances are you'll find the combination of buttons you need to hold down on power up to unlock all the other regions. Here's a typical example: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/biostek-xs-600/9130 |

| Wow! I thought that contravened the licensing agreements between the electronics manufacturers are the rights owners (ie the film studios). Even DVD players in Thailand are region-specific... until you get them home. Truly, Cyprus must have a somewhat casual approach to copyright |
