If you are talking about Ledra Street thenfrom Northern side then go into the old town through the gates and continue straight on follow past the square and the hotel on the right. and on into the bazaar area as you enter the pedestrian area turn right and the crossing is straight in front of. Leads straight to Debenhams etc. Distnce about three quarters of a mile, You can park in the old town but difficult attimes.

It seems very irresponsible to feed a baby Mcdonalds.

Its a long walking distance to cross from Ledra Palace, definately cross from the new opened border, northern side Arastalar to Ledra street. no turnings just walk straight and your at debs in 2 minutes. its only a 200m2 walk this way.

Isn't there an M &S , too ...?!

Bear in mind this street is symbolic and a hang over from the past.. NEW Nicosia town Centre is 1.5 miles to the south and there is a huge shopping centre 4.5 miles further south just after the start of the m/way to Larnaca/ L'sol

The shops are bigger and have more choice.

Bear in mind the exchange rate SUCKS..

good luck

2 visits at Christmas showed that there was no financial reason to shop in the south, even for a coffee. The exchange rate now means it just aint worth going. If just going for tourist reasons or like on another thread, you crave a real big mac then it is a good half day out or a day if you want to go to the new part of town.

I found that Debenhams were the biggest rip off merchants in Ledra St as I know there quality and prices well from my local store.
