Can anyone else get TRT1 (channel 21) currently on digiturk. It is supposed to be in the basic package so I dont understand why I am not getting it, unless its just for F1 ?

I think you can get TRT1 via a terestrial ariel but its been about 5 years since I used a terestrial ariel. Will have to check it out.



The rights are per country. TRT used to have F1 for Turkey, then CNN TURK got them , this year they are back to TRT. However this is the first time that they seem to have counted TRNC as not in Turkey re these rights, if that is what is happening.

Just rang digiturk cyprus and they said that they knew about the problem and are working now to fix it and it is not to do with the rights for formula 1.



Hopefully it will be sorted before the actual race.

Channel 56 (TRT3) today from 1400 to 1530 is F1 Australia - that is the only mention I can find of F1 coverage. The menu is not yet displaying tomorrows programmes so do not know if the race will be on that channel.

Waddo that is a repeat of the qualifying. It was shown live on TRT1 but some kind of technical error is causing that channel to fail atm in TRNC. Digiturk are working on it apparently.



If it gets sorted the live race will be on TRT1 tomorrow morning our time.

Lets hope so. One of the highlights of my week (in season) is watching the race and listening to the radio 5 commentary via BFBS .

Those of you with "small" SKY dishes that can get Sky news - try to go to channel 503 - News 24 - it is a VERY strong signal



after 5 seconds - when the blue and white channel info bar disappear,s press the red interactive button



You'll find a dedicated F1 channel and can watch bits you missed and many LIVE things..



I don't KNOW if it will carry the LIVE GP, but it might.. certainly worth checking out

Erol,my old mate i have got up really early to watch it now i am in uk and its going to be a good season for me,that Mcpooh team are really ot the pace,L have a new puter mate its got blue ray,esata,amd,ati,hdmi,vista and i can carry it and its dongle,Wish i could drive it !! Sideways - I am guessing that this is a rights issue, but I might be wrong. TRT1 have the rights for Turkey. It would seem there is some issue as to if these rights cover the TRNC or not ?



I ended up watching the BBC1 coverage via the internet using a (pay) VPN service (to give me a UK IP address) , zatto for the feed and my local internet connection (1mbs, wireless from bortec).



Over all it was very watchable and it was nice to have UK commentary. Quality was ok, not great but acceptable. I could just about read the small ticker tape position runnings, though it did depend on the background color they were running over. Stability was not bad either. I lost the VPN connection 3 times over the 2 hrs 45 mins I was watching, requiring a close and restart of the VPN and loosing me a 1-2mins of coverage each time, but overall I was pretty impressed. Certainly better than no coverage.
