Was trying to get Euros in the UK yesterday, £1 buys you 0.99 Euros, couldnt believe it when i first saw it in black and white, then i realised what a mess the government has made of the UK economy why should it come as any surprise. What next for the UK how far can the currency slide, the worlds financiers start to shun UK government bonds while they print money ( Weimar Republic economics ) A trip to the IMF by Gordon Brown to beg for money to bail us out, looks like we are going the same way as MFI !

I went to the south a couple of days ago and checked out a few prices and you now have to be careful ie Alphamega Price Lemar Price equivalent Kellogs cornflakes 500gms 2.61 euros, 2.68 euros Pantene shampoo 400 mls 5.16 euros 4.73 euros HP Sauce 425 gms 3.85 euros 3.41 euros Heinz Tom Ketchup 342 gms 1.72 euros 1.70 euros The list goes on, needless to say I bought very little and i am constantly told that the choice is far greater but I certainly will not be renewing my car insurance to go over there in a hurry. Even fillet, rump and topside beef is cheaper to buy here than in the south

Here we go again. FREE SPEECH IS NOT ALLOWED ON THIS FORUM!!!!!! How can debates take place with only one side of any argument. andysue, it could be said you are boring always going on about TRNC etc. Our long standing friends who support "the other side" just love your attitude, resorting to bad language just offers more support to their argument. My mode with this is just ignore and not respond, causes far less hassle all around. Hope all is well in the ES household, think summer has finally arrived here, shame you came in winter!!!

CIH, I am sure we would all like free speech and would welcome both sides of the argument ,....however the people with the "other side of the argument" are constantly getting banned , but I suppose thats ok is it.
