Give up smoking!



It can seriously damage your health, especially when getting shot!



Why not just say,



"I am the wife of a Senior UN Commander, call your superior officer now and say you have just detained me. Give your name to me now so that I can ring the UN command. If you don't want to do this, back off and let me proceed."



Always speak slowly and quietly and look them in the eye whilst doing so. Remember, you're British. Works every time for me, but I leave the wife bit out.
