Many many thanks to all at sunnycyprus, I called them on a suspected connection problem and after 3 visits and replacing equipment it turns out there was a software problem on my computer.



Nothing at ll to do with the isp issue never the less they sorted it for me and now all is back working as it should be.



A verry big thankyou to the team at sunnycyprus

Sunny Cyprus sorted out a wireless router problem in our office FOC when we thought it was their connection at fault. 10 out of 10.

We also use sunny cyprus and we find that they are really good too. If we do ever have any problems with our connection we can call them any time any day of the week and they get it sorted. 10/10 also.

Littlenige, TRNCVaughan, Did SunnyCyprus charge £20 call out fee, I understand if the problem is not with sunnycyprus they charge you, just interested as they did charge me £20.00

No they did not charge me for the home visits, I poste this yesterday but it vanished !!

We have never been charged for a service visit but we are only in Kyrenia and we are a long standing corporate and private customer.

Strange to ask one customer for £20 and not the other. Preferential treatment can cause some resentment in the long run. IMHO.

A quick reply from sunnycyprus,



Littlenige was not charged because he provides home to one of our base stations, and he never will be charged.



TRNCVaughan was not charged because the wireless router, and wireless adapters on the computers in question was installed by us.



We of course don't charge people when its our equipment that caused the fault which in your case was not.

Being charged more than someone else for the same job could be questioned. Deciding to carry out the same job FOC could be a commercial decision and SC would be within their rights to be "snippy" about having to justify how they run their business.

If a barman charged you for a beer on your first visit, but gave a regular customer "one on the house", would you complain that you had been charged but he hadn't?

To be told of the call out charge would be excepted, but no I was not told this and nowhere on sunnycyprus's site will they tell you of this £20 charge.

Thats not the same thing at all. Perhaps it might have been wise to ask if there would be a charge. Do you need to ask a plumber or TV repair man if there will be a charge for calling him out?

Hi Nige,

That's why I always take my own laptop to trouble-shoot connection problems.

It eliminates possible problems on the client's computer.

It saves a lot of time and effort in the long-run, - only comes from experience!
