can any one tell me what happens if your retirement pension falls short of the £6,000 ayr income thats required to live in nrth cyprus...also is it added up to how much is in your bank accont.I'll be gratefull for any advice in fact on retiring to nrth cyprus.Lainie

They will take into account the income of both of you (assuming there is both of you) If not, then I think you will find that £6,000 a year income will be a bit low. Savings do help with the interest rate so much higher than UK. I would suggest you try other banks than the HSBC. Bad service and their rates are much lower than other banks. Try Credit West. Experienced in Ex-pat banking with all staff speaking good english. Good luck.
