Hi everyone



We are staying at the Pia Bella hotel in Kyrennia around mid April. It's been about 10 years since we last visited Northern Cyprus. Any suggestion re nice places to eat/drink - traditional food not too expensive!!

Although we haven't been out since last October, I would suggest Cherinis and Harbours delight. They are located in the harbour and although cherinis do not have a harbour frontage the roof terrace is amazing and the food is well priced and very good.

Cenaps in Alsancak - great traditional turkish meze.

Ambiance in Karaoglanoglu - best a la carte restaurant on the North Coast.

Carpenters in Karaoglanoglu - small menu but great food - local family run.

Jashans Karaoglanoglu - Nice Indian

Dragon Kyrenia - Nice Chinese

Niazi's Kyrenia - Nice Turkish kepab amongst other things - then walk to the harbour for a brandy sour!!

Sabor Kyrenia - New place in town - great food at a great price.

Archway Zeytinlik - mainly full kabab but brilliantly done and lovely restaurant.



Anywhere in the Harbour - great for a drink or a snack - not so good for a full meal.



Should keep you going for a while... have fun!!!

Padisah (pronounced Padisha), all local food, local entertainment, renouned for their Kleftico, lovely courtyard when warm. Situated in road opposite Colony on right, this is a one way road if in a car.

up at Buffavento there is a kebab restaurant there, it has the best Turkish atmosphere i've experienced in Cyprus and a lovely setting. it's quite a way up the mountain but well worth a visit. it is a fixed menu of lovely meze and a choice of meat or chicken for your main dish followed by a fruit platter at 30tl a head not including drinks. hope you get to try it.

if you like fish there is a good cypriot restaurant in the same road as the colony hotel,close to the petrol station. i think they have a sign in the window saying fish and chips.

i can't remember the name but they do the best fish meze and of course fish and chips.

in the winter it is seating inside but in the summer they have a lovely garden area at the back of the shop.

they only speak a little english as most customers are cypriot, but they cook lovely food!

fish is not the cheapest meal here but this place is the best.
