Pond Jumper,

If Amber doesn't want this I'll take it. Pending inspection of course.

Whereabouts are you?

I do a lot of strimming in the uk and I can tell you a lot of the low end strimmers are crap. I bought one from b&q for £70 and it literally died within an afternoons use.

If you have a lot of strimming to do go for a Stihl or Husquavana both petrol strimmers. They are "real" tools not like the toys that are only good enough for strimming light blades of grass around your lawn.

If it's heavier type growth your need a heavy duty strimmer or brushcutter such as the brands I've mentioned above. I have a Stihl FS85 and it's a cracker. I can use it for 8 hours solid and it doesnt even break a sweat. Cost around £200 upwards but don't waste your money on the cheap ones as they are rubbish.

Amber,

Drop me an email with directions. I won't hire it to you because people should just help each other, but you can borrow it for free. Has the normal "string" type and also a brush cutter blade for stuff that won't die on its own!
