Has anyone managed to pay tax on holiday rental income. If so could they tell me what are the steps for doing this. My partner has paid tax on long term rental but not holiday.

Exactly the same but the contract that you register will have to state the length of time for each rent or you will be assessed for a whole year

We have considered renting our own apartment out when we are not holidaying there, but the very low rental rates (compared with other areas of the Med) ,the high cost of electricity/air con that guests will invariably use ,and the tax on rental income make me think it is all very marginal and hardly worth the inconvenience.

We rent it out but only give a certain number of units free for electricity and rest they have to pay, suddenly people become aware.
