Does anyone know whether there are electricity meters available in the TRNC at the current time. Last year there was huge problems with availability. If there are meters can anyone let us know how long it takes to get them installed after visiting Kib tec with paperwork and installation payment. Regards Sue and Dave

Hi Kibtec came 3 days after I went to the office to register, installed the meter and connected us. It cost around 180 YTL in total including stamp etc. I do believe we were lucky though, and our builder was very helpful in getting it pushed through

I was over in September, went and paid my dues, also around 180 YTL and then a couple of weeks later it was connected. I was back home by then and simply got an e-mail from my property management folk to say the job was done, no need to chase them up or anything. I guess that depends on your situation but it was very straight forward for me. Good luck!

Hi We are just completing our snagging/handover at Seaterra Bay and there is a distinct lack of meters Our developer has paid for them in advance but there is apparantly none are available on the island. Kibtek is the only supplier and there seems to be no real hurry in supplying. For the few of us without meters, Kibtek have indicated that they would supply at 180TL per month, I just hope that this is resolved soon, there is so many properties being built so the situation can only get worse, especially for the new builds Dave

I have been told there is no meters in the north or will be for a month or so - I think you can get round it by paying around 100ytl a month as a temporary fix.
