| Cooper's right. The gurantee is only as good as the people giving it. Thats why when the deputy Prime Minister stated that we had a property Guarantee, I knew this was 100%. |

| You don't necesarily have to spread it around several banks. You can have several acccounts at the same bank and they will all be gauranteed - plus you can then obtain a higher interet rate. |

| Yes, but if you have money in say four banks and one goes down all is not lost, however if all of your hard earned is in one bank and that goes pear shaped then your in real trouble. Never put all of your eggs in one basket !!! |

| The only proof we have is that in 2001 all guarantees were paid and very quickly indeed. As I understand it all banks allowed to operate in TRNC are covered by the guarantee. In my opinion the system learnt a lot from the 2001 collapse which has benefited them now. Maybe if British banks had kept lending to at most 75% of valuation and not lent vast amounts outside the UK often with no collateral, then they would not have been on the brink of collapse and my shares in them would be worth something!! |
