Hi Simma

2 minutes walk which way, down the hill or through the village past Kim supermarket? We are in the village and don't recognise the builder's name?

2 mins walk down the hill, it's the development on the left after the restaurant. six villas in total we are plot 1 furthest from the road. If you are in the village, where do you usually go for a drink or eat out?

Hi Simma

Are those the ones at the side of the road with the long narrow windows?. I know the couple which have built the large villa directly below the Restaurant. I think yours are being built in front.

We normally eat at Esentepe Restaurant. Hassan is lovely but doesn't speak English. Its not popular with the Expats which is why we like it there, a local's place. Tumba is good for a drink but Shefti's food isn't wonderful. I've never eaten at Ros'ies so can't comment on that.

We used to have another choice, the Moonlight bar. Ulus the owner went to Australia for 3 months and when he came back lost interest in running the restaurant. Shame really because it was good.

Cheeers Karen, yes my villa is directly in front of your friends. I heard that there was a dispute with how far the builders went with your friends boundary wall. Do you know if the situation was resolved? It's nice to speak to someone so close to where we have bought. All the villas on that site are sold and due for completion in may. Can't wait.

Hi again Karren. Is it possible to go for a few beers in the few hotels on the bank and are they expensive?

Hi Simma

Apparently the problem was that the builder/surveyor made a mistake when marking out the house. It was a boundary dispute. I think its all sorted now though.

Its a good village to live in.

You mean the Esentepe Villa Hotel. Yes its open to the public. Its under new ownership now so I don't know what the prices are like. When Greg was there they were pretty steep. My gripe was putting local brandy on an optic and charging the cost of a bottle for a shot. I know you expect to pay a bit extra in a hotel but that was just too over the top for my liking.

Hi Pipie

Its the first restaurant you get to on entering the Village. If you are at the Sea Terra site in Esentepe then follow the tarmac road through to the Esentepe Villa Hotel, turn right and head up to the village. The restaurant is on the right hand side just before Ros'ies (that's exactly how they spell it and its not a grammatic error on my part!!). If you are on the Tatlisu site then its quite a walk. You need to head back toward Girne, at the junction of Esentepe climb the hill to the top.
