How long is a piece of string, I am sure that TRNCVaughan will give you some guidance but it will depend on the situation with the pool. As for chemical costs I would also like to know that one.

Chlorine tablets cost 50 sterling for a 25kg drum containing 50 tablets. Tablets should be used in a floating dispenser which can be regulated to keep your chlorine level at 3ppm. If you put the tablet in a skimmer basket it will disolve too quickly and your chlorine level may exceed 3ppm.

Keeping the level at 3ppm will be determined by bather load, i.e. how many bathers x swimming time x contamination (dust etc.)

However, I suspect that in summer 25kg of tablets might last you a couple of months.

A better option is to not use chlorine but instead go for an Aligator. We have been testing one in an 8x4m skimmer pool for a year and the owner is delighted with it.

Best prices for PH down and other chemicals, please?

Let's put all comparisons on here, for all pool products. Maybe Siba will be cheaper on one and Offsetsan on another.

I'll get Offsetsans prices later and post them.

Here we go..

All prices in Euros plus KDV.

1. 25kg's PH Down (Acid) €16.50.

2. 25kg's Chlorine Powder (90%) €55.00.

3. Testing tablets, 10 tablets in one strip, each strip €0.93. Please specify if you want to test Chlorine, or PH.

Call Offsetsan on 0392 224 0510 and ask for Nils, she speaks perfect English.

I have no connection with this Company, but I've had exceptional service every time.

They will deliver FREE to your house, you pay on delivery, Euros, or TL equivalent.

You can visit them by going to the Nicosia roundabout (Boulders on top of water fountains). Turn right to Guzelyurt. After about three miles you need to slow down (speed cameras) when you approach a roundabout. Offsetsan has a massive building on your left, immediately after the roundabout. Next door is Çangar BMW, which you can't miss.

Can anyone else get some other suppliers prices?

Thanks.
