Hi, I hope you can help me with this problem. A friend of mine who is living in Famagusta wants to make a call to Chile but it seems that something is wrong because the call does not connect. I think one has to dial a prefix before the country code, the city code and the number. My question is what prefix numbers are in Famagusta that allows one to call overseas? thank you for your help MM

There shouldn't be any problems dialing direct to Chile. Example: 00 (International Exchange) + 56 (Country Code) + 32 (For Vina Del Mar, or other number dependant on city) + Local Number

That combination (00+ 56+ 32 + local number) does not work. I do not know why. Thank you though

Drop any '0' after international code which happens to precede area/district/local numbers. I do not phone my llama cousins that neck of the world so often to assist you any further Richard
