| Hi Karl, In where the cartridges fit, using a Q-tip dosed in pure alcohol or Metholated Spirit, clean thouroughly inside especially where the Micro Chip on the Cartridge comes into contact with the metal bits on the inside. Also ensure that you clean the bottom where the heads are located. You need to repeat this process with many Q-Tips until no more ink is being removed. If that doesn't cure it then you'll more than likely have to buy a new one, as it means the ink has got down into the base workings of the printer and that means taking it apart....and it never goes back together properly! As a general warning to anyone shipping printers of either Ink Jet or Laser ensure that you remove the cartridges before it is boxed for transit. Wrap the Cartridges in Cling Film, trying to keep them vertical and upside down so the ink won't run if violantly handled. Best bet would be to sellotape them upside down to the outside of the printer. |
