Hi Mindy I asked this question at the border on wednesday, i noticed for the months cover is third party only. Did not have time to get quote for fully comprehensive for the year. There are no brokers on the north side that will give you cover. So next time you are going over allow time for the Greek broker to quote you. Regards tiger.

Thanks everyone for your info, much appreciated. I think it is getting a joke now at 30 euro when you may only need to go over to pick up a relative once or twice in any 1 month. Rip off RoC

Don't forget though that the TRNC charges the same rates to those coming from the South to the North. It's a bit of a monoploy and really they can charge what the hell they like. As long as people pay it, the border will remain busy. But of course the problem is that you if you don't pay and are caught without insurance expect to be closely watched next time you cross the border, that is of course after you've paid the fine (which will be a damn site higher than 30 Euros) or got out of prison!
