| We used to go there fairly regularly, but then the hotel changed hands, there was talk of it closing down and the excellent staff left. The menu, food, presentation and service and the restaurant itself were all excellent.
Strangely enough, we are trying it tonight to see if it lives up to the same standard. I'll report back if you want? |

| Izzet is the steak house open again, as I beleive it they closed early part of 2008, great shame as the steaks were first class equal only to Erols. |

| Ok here's the report. 4 of us went last night, apart from one other table, we were the only diners, but it didn't affect the evening at all.
All the meals were very good apart from the 'new york strip' which should be sirloin, but wasn't and it was chewy. I had lamb and the others had fillet and they were all really nice.
No complaints about the starters (soup, shrimp cocktail, beef carpaccio) or the desserts; the baked cheesecake was huge and absolutely delicious (half of it is in my fridge, I just couldn't eat it all) and the creme brulee and chocolate desserts were all enjoyed.
There is a really nice basket of flavoured breads and butters put on the table and a complementary pre-starter, which was a good nice.
Water was complementary, our first choice of wine (Italian) we sent back as in was musty, so we had the DLC @ 50TL which was a big improvement.
Mains were about 35TL, 15TL/20-ish for others, and a good choice on the menu.
We would go back. |
