Hello all, I realise this may sound like a silly or even strange question and will more than likely get a few sniggering comments but i can live with that. Could any one tell me if there are many Belly Dancers in North Cyprus ???? And I don't mean beer bellies !!!

Very close Mark, My wife is and has been a Belly Dancer on the tourist safari's in Dubai for 7 years, pocket money job but I know I'll get dragged around every place that has them, she is also an aerobics and dance instructor so any time she hears of a nubile dancer in the area we have to go watch. It might also be an option for her after the babies born as a part time job if she feels like going back to it

A comparison, when in Istanbul a couple of years ago, I asked the hotel manager where would one go to see belly dancing, his reply was slow in coming and mentioned some restaurant was doing it for tourists,, Never got to see belly dancing in Istanbul , as for Cyprus, only on Turkish nights or weddings. mmmm, do you know where they dance on a regular basis? please share.

)) re msg 4/5 sounds like your wife might fill a gap in the market ! Turbo will be the first paying client ! ;) Turbo - Limas(s)ol Carnival Week - the night club beneath the Arsenoe Hotel.. arrive late.. you'll find a few Russian ladies on a night out with the girls "perform" for free...! On a biz trip to Istanbul in Sept 2007 - was taken to a Restaurant by boat- where the Sultan signed the pact with Germany to enter WWI - can't remember the name of the place .. Pasha.. something or other :( .. We were entertained by TWO Turkish belly dance girls... I really enjoyed watching them, but stood at the back as they kept picking out "partners".. "Our Katya " an employee, then stood up joined in - as did two other Russian women.. It is incredibly popular - and many Ru ladies use it as part of an aerobics routine.. !
