I am almost finished reading one of those as well and yes they are along the same lines as Martina Cole.

I have read both Martina Cole and Manda Sue Heller and think Martina Cole is the better writing (but do not like the language in the book. Some say its necessary for the story lines!). Manda Sue drives me mad with her "Queen" and "Sunshine" all the time. I much prefer Barbara Erskine. Just my thoughts as I appreciate we are all different
