A friend has just been to the vet this morning and there were two dogs in there that had been poisoned around Bellapais this morning, can anyone confirm where in Bellapais? I have a feeling it might be right at the top as you walk onto the mountain path.

The poisoning in Bellepais was near Ambelia. It affected 3 dogs , sadly 1 has died ,the other 2 are receiving treatment. KAR have been notified so the info should be on their website soon.

the police are only aloud to shot themand then the belediye has to take the dogs away they are only putting posion down because shooting is not allowed...its horrible and it should be stoped we have had 4 dogs posioned in the last year

you could try going to the police to say there has been posion lying around but if you dont know who did it its pritty hard

I cannot believe somebody would actually say that " can't they just shoot them" !! unbelievable.

A start would be for people to be responsible owners, not to let them roam and stray, to neuter their pets so there are not so many unwanted animals.

To say shoot them - what sort of place is this?

Hi Amber sadly not everybody thinks like we do. I agree its worrying when you have children. They should realise its not the expats who posion and try catching the culprits. When I read who posted it then I understand. He is the guy that came to the restaurant appatantly and not one of the 80 so women saw him but then gives me a negative review. read his profile.

You should by now, bung him and a glowing review would have ensued! I chuckled a few years ago when a restaurant review appeared in the Cyprus Today starting off with, 'A good friend of mine who owns this restaurant...................' Yes, a very impartial, objective narrative followed!

Hiya Richard. I would not bung anybody but I didnt even see him. It was an Avon party and I think he would have stood out amongst all those lovely ladies. All the tables outside were full of products that they were selling. How are you anyway xxxx

Or a 'backhander'. It's an everyday occurrence here in sunny Cyprus if you want anything done! Good, thanks, Mother and I will be passing your emporium tomorrow so will put our heads round the door.
