I have just received a message from a contact that the Karsiyaka Burglar has been caught. It was apparently a British man. When Police searched his home, it turned out to be a real alladins' cave. He is aparently also responsible for Burgling Astro's Supermarket in Alsancak.

Can anyone else verify this??

I witnessed the Police raid and assumed it was to do with the burglaries and yes it was a brit but from what I have heard he is a lonley Alcoholic who I was told wouldn't have been capable but has a turkish lodger who runs around all night on his scooter,anyway after an hour of searching another police car arrived as the first car was full and off they all went never to be seen again,tell a lie they returned late that night with the brit in handcuffs why that was I can only sermise but it all seemed pretty serious.

Yes good police work and it should be in the Kibris paper tomorrow. Will let you have a translation of what is said. I do not know if they have yet been charged.

I was speaking to a local TC restaurater last night and he said that the police had been to see him and told him that a British man and a TC had been caught but that there were two other Brits involved and they were trying to find out who they were.
